BeerYou FAQs

Where can I redeem my beer?

BeerYou redemption is done at over 20,000 locations. The recipient will get to choose from a list that’s provided with their BeerCode.

What's the value of the beer I send my friend?

The value of the BeerCode is based on national averages of the chosen category of beer.

What if I want to order more than what was purchased on the BeerYou credit?

The recipient can (and usually does) have other food/drinks while they use their BeerYou credit. In these cases, the BeerYou credit will be applied to the total tab. The recipient is responsible for paying for the remainder of the charges on their tab with their server.

How will the BeerYou credit cover the exact amount of the recipient's selected beer at their given establishment?

BeerYou credits are based on national averages for the chosen category of beer. Prices at merchants will vary frequently based on location, day, time, etc. so the recipient will have to settle up according to their server.

What if I send them a standard domestic beer, but the recipient wants a more expensive beer?

The recipient will have to cover the difference in price with their server.

What about tipping my bartender/server?

Tipping is the responsibility of the person redeeming the beer.

How can I thank someone for sending a beer?

The BeerYou app will prompt the recipient if they’d like to share the BeerYou love and send one back to that wonderful person.

Can I re-gift my beer?

True love cannot be re-gifted…love needs to come from the senders heart. However, BeerYou does allow you to quickly send a new beer to someone else.

What if I send a beer to the wrong email address?

If the sender emails the beer to the wrong address then contact BeerYou support using the “Help” option in the drop-down menu on the app. Also when you set up your BeerYou profile, make sure you use your preferred personal email address.

What if I want beers sent to my personal email instead of my work email?

If the BeerYou credit has already been sent to an unwanted email address then contact BeerYou support using the “Help” option in the drop-down menu in the app. Also when you set up your BeerYou profile, make sure you use your preferred personal email address.

What if my friend never gets their beer email?

Some system latency causes about a 10 minute delay in transmitting the BeerCode. Make sure the recipient is checking the same email address that was submitted by the sender.

How do I know if my friend got their beer?

The recipient can communicate back to sender when they get their BeerCode.

What if I send a beer to someone without a smart phone?

The recipient will need a device with a screen to show the merchant the BeerCode or they can print out the BeerYou BeerCode and present that to the merchant.

Does BeerYou actually deliver physical beer/alcohol?

BeerYou sends a digital code to the recipient that is redeemed for a beer at over 20,000 locations…no physical deliver of beer/alcohol is done by BeerYou.
